no fluff, just stuff –
simple brightening serum that works well and didn’t irritate my skin
i’ve used alpha arbutin from a few brands, including the ordinary, and this one honestly held up pretty well. the packaging has that classic private-label look (it even resembles the ordinary), but the formula itself worked just fine for me.the texture is a light, watery gel, absorbs fast, no stickiness, and no pilling under my moisturizer or sunscreen. i didn’t get any irritation or redness, which is a big deal for my skin when it comes to brightening serums.after using it consistently, i got the same kind of slow, steady brightening i expect from arbutin: smoothing old acne marks, evening out tone a bit, and adding a little hydration from the hyaluronic acid. nothing dramatic overnight, but absolutely effective for the price.overall, if you want a simple, gentle arbutin serum on a budget, this one does the job with no negatives for me.

This serum absorbs quickly. It gives a smooth, hydrated feel without any stickiness. I have fair, sensitive skin and it doesn’t cause irritation or redness. I used it in the morning before sunscreen and it layered well under makeup. It makes my skin soft and hydrated. I think it is making my skin tone look a little more even and brighter. It doesn’t expire until 2028, so I’ll have plenty of time to use it. Overall, I think this is a gentle brightening serum that’s easy to add into a daily routine.
